Form Creator:
This add-on feature enables the HR Department to create and upload forms such as New Hire Details, Uniform Orders or any information you need to gather from your new hires. When an inductee logs in to the system, they can fill in the forms before they begin their induction. The forms are then automatically sent to a nominated email address for processing. No more paper-trail, no more lost forms. Quick and simple.

Royal Agricultural Showground Largest event in the Southern Hemisphere is using Rapid Induct!
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is a not for profit organisation responsible for conducting the Sydney Royal Easter Show (RES) and the Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy and Fine Food Shows as well as other activities throughout the year. The RAS also manages Sydney Showground, one of Sydney's busiest public venue, and the Australasian Animal Registry.
Allan Morgan, RAS General Manager Operations, has an eventful role particularly this month. “The Royal Easter Show is on again this year at the Sydney Showground from 1-14th April. 900,000 people over 14 days will attend the event. Approximately 2000 personnel will need to attend a face to face induction, in addition to the online Rapid Induct training. The online induction includes safety, security, operational and customer service information and expectations, how to help people with disabilities, as well as task-specific aspects or current 'hot topics'”, says Allan.
“Managing inductions for the RA S involves inducting volunteers, contractors, students, Work Cover, employees, and agency personnel. When personnel work at the RES in particular, they need to complete a full orientation of the venue and the event in addition to the online induction. Rapid Induct has increased safety, task, quality and customer service awareness overall at the RAS”.
“Rapid Induct’s online induction process has benefited RAS in many ways. Records are now secure and maintained; individual job categories or events can be targeted and therefore courses can be customised. Rapid Induct also provides the option for personnel to agree and accept an acknowledgement of key competency and other task-specific selection/competency criteria to screen out those people we need to talk to before we accept them and to abide by the requirements of working as a service contractor, or as staff working at the venue or during events . Their induction certificate includes a photo-ID for our records as part of our response to security”, says Allan.
“It is planned for Rapid Induct to provide refresher training to staff on specific safe systems of work following an incident, as well as that person's manager or supervisor receiving refreshers in their specific duties relating to the employee's incident, including links to 'homework' documents. Therefore, the concept of continuous improvement in safety training and follow up occurs at all relevant levels of the organisation is quickly and efficiently delivered and maintained. It is more than a safety induction system”, says Allan.

Cement Australia:
Rapid Induct implemented at 25 sites!
Formed in 2003 Cement Australia blends the expertise and experience of Australian Cement and Queensland Cement into a single entity that offers more value to customers than ever before. Being the largest cement manufacturer in Australia, Cement Australia can pull both expertise and experience from within the company and also externally with its close ties to major shareholders Holcim and Hanson being world leaders in the supply of cement, aggregates, concrete and building materials.
Cement Australia inducts approximately 250 personnel, monthly including employees and contractors. Rapid Induct has been implemented in approximately 80% of the company, including 25 sites, with the view of all personnel using the system in the company in the coming months.
Rienholt Rasch, Behavioural Safety Manager, Cement Australia says "It was necessary to streamline the induction process as there were varying types of inductions across all our sites. Some sites would run a video as part of the induction and others would use a PowerPoint presentation as part of the face to face training. There were mixed messages presented with pockets of good and bad practices. Assessments were conducted, marked and then filed away”.
“The intention of Rapid Induct was to ensure that we would communicate one process and one message regardless whether an Operations Manager or driver was inducted. By streamlining our induction process, we have saved administration time which would often take up to 2 hrs for each induction group”.
"We still incorporate face to face training as part of our induction process after the inductees have completed their online component. Our online section includes what our company is about, hazards and general processes. We believe that the site specific face to face induction is also just as important. Now that our time is taken away from the administrative tasks, we have the time to spend on the specific site inductions. Our face to face training also reinforces the theory of the online induction. We now have a good balance as we didn't always have the right balance before", says Reinholt.
"Overall, the main benefit that was important to us as a company is the face to face versus the online training balance. By giving personnel the information upfront where they can complete it at their own pace before attending the instructor led component has been beneficial as has allowed us to reinforce our key messages. Another reason that we have also been very impressed with Rapid Induct, is that it has given us the ability to change or confront issues specific to our business", says Reinholt.
